Digital Marketing Trends focused on Business Strategy

inbound marketing

I would like to discuss the importance of Inbound Marketing nowadays, since the buying process is mostly generated in online searches. I would like to highlight the success story of Hubspot, a technology Massachusetts company, founded in 2006 that dramatically transform these marketing concepts. Best results are achieved when it is combined with Sales Navigator, a LinkedIn tool and  and training platform for comercial teams.

Less invasive approaches, properly exploiting digital media, social networks, SEO techniques, investments in sponsored links or social ads are part of the inbound marketing universe.

However it's worthless using the right tools without having a well-defined purpose. So, it all starts with Strategic Planning.

It is of no use pushing the right buttons, even if aligned with the strategic plan, without proper measurement of efforts and results. So, the need to create KPIs in line with the objectives, which are possible to measure, and to ensure the proper monitoring of these indicators, continuously.

To achieve good results it is necessary to balance inbound marketing with outbound marketing, using email marketing correctly, for example, by aligning content and speech with the target audience.

About Inbound marketing I would recommend reading Brian Halligan's books, CEO and co-founder of Hubspot. My favorite is "Inbound Marketing: Get Found Using Google, Social Media, and Blogs." It uses easy and straightforward language and gives fairly practical and updated tips on digital marketing.

How about you? How do you use digital marketing in favor of your company's business results?

O meu preferido é o "Inbound Marketing: Get Found Using Google, Social Media, and Blogs".

With the restarting of economic growth in Brazil, many retail chains are preparing themselves to return to grow. The largest franchise fair in Brazil has happened last July, but if the retail chains do not do their part and work in a win-win relationship with their franchisees, growth is not sustainable and lasting. I truly understand that the top 5 challenges in the development of retail networks are the following:

#1. Strategic planning: the expansion team and its stakeholders are aligned on strategic issues such as: who is your target audience, who are your competitors and where they are, how many stores fit in your market, what is the main expansion strategy and what kind of stores are the best for expansion?

#2. Choose the best and most suitable locations: in the last decade brands that grew only in shopping centers felt safe in the market specially because shopping mall industry expanded in the same period in Brazil, but today we must be more assertive in estimating the sales of future stores in order to correctly dimension the investment.

#3.Build a strong and healthy pipeline of new opening stores: this means knowing how to choose and negotiate the best sites and the best franchisees; correctly managing the physical-financial plan of the openings from the site analysis, through hiring and training employees and obtaining of any operating licenses.

#4. Structure adequate processes to engage the entire company in the consistent and continuous rate and seedy of growth, creating a real commitment and culture of expansion in the whole company, from the area of purchases, IT, HR, Marketing, besides the Operations and Franchises team that will truly support growth when they believe everyone would win with it.

#5.Find the right partners to support the pace of expansion: Of course, you'll be able to do site analysis, but will you be able to do it with the speed you need for the best deals? What about IT partners for POS, CRM, analytics, internet link, means of payment? And suppliers for architecture studies, furniture, construction and licenses?

Does it make sense to you? Let's talk about it!
